Gethsemane is located in the inner city of Newport News, Virginia with members from each of the seven Hampton Roads cities and as far as Richmond. Added to those who attend on a regular basis, there are countless individuals and families who are touched by this ministry across the length and breadth of this country and around the globe. The mission of Gethsemane Baptist Church is to disciple, minister, and empower by demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ to families throughout Hampton Roads and beyond.  We endeavor to accomplish our mission by demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ to families throughout Hampton Roads and beyond.

 As an assembly with a strong emphasis on healthy families based upon biblical standards, several ministry programs designed strengthen fammilies, we also understand the call of God to serve one another and provide opportunities for Christian fellowship.
